No, unfortunately that’s not allowed.

The Certificate Authority (CA) requires proof that the person approving the certificate really controls the domain. For security reasons, the approval email can only be sent to one of these addresses linked to your domain:

  • admin@yourdomain.com (mailto:admin@yourdomain.com)
  • administrator@yourdomain.com (mailto:administrator@yourdomain.com)
  • webmaster@yourdomain.com (mailto:webmaster@yourdomain.com)
  • hostmaster@yourdomain.com (mailto:hostmaster@yourdomain.com)
  • postmaster@yourdomain.com (mailto:postmaster@yourdomain.com)
    or the email address listed in the public WHOIS record for the domain.

You cannot use personal addresses like Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.

Solution: Just log into your WhoGoHost cPanel → Email Accounts → create (or forward) one of the above addresses to your personal inbox. Once that’s done, you can receive and click the approval link without any problem.
