  • 57

Softaculous in cPanel makes installing popular scripts super quick and easy. While WordPress is our example here, you can pick from dozens of apps to install in just a few clicks.

  1. Log in to cPanel and click the Softaculous icon under the Softaculous section.

    Step 1
  2. The Softaculous panel will open. On the left, you’ll see categories of scripts. WordPress is under Blogs. Click the grey arrow next to a category to see all scripts. Select WordPress to open its installation page.

    Step 2

  3. Check out the script details, including ratings, reviews, and a demo. Then, click Install next to the Overview tab.

Step 3

 4. Fill in the installation details:

  • Domain name: Where you want the script installed

  • Directory: Leave blank if you want it on the main domain; otherwise, use the default wp

  • Admin login details: Change the default admin/admin to something secure

5.Double-check your entries and scroll down to click Install. Most installations take 45–60 seconds, but larger apps may take a bit longer.
