Adding Hyperlinks Print

  • 97

Your site builder lets you link almost anything — text, images, buttons, and even your navigation menu. You can connect to another website, a page on your site, a downloadable file, or an email address.

Linking Text

Any text inside a Title or Text element can become a hyperlink.

  1. Highlight the text you want to link.

  2. Click the chain link icon in the toolbar.

  3. Choose the type of link you want from the options that appear. You can expand or collapse each option to switch to another one easily.

You can link to:

  • Another website or URL — for example, an external article or a partner site.
You can also set it to open in a new tab so your visitors don’t lose your site.

  • A page on your website — just pick the page from the list.

  • A file — like a PDF or document. Select an existing file or upload a new one.

  • An email address — this will open the visitor’s email app (like Outlook) so they can message you instantly. If they don't use an external mail app, the link may not work, so you can also include a Contact Form.

  • A blog post — choose from your published posts.

Linking Images

You can add links to any image as well. Click the image, select Link, and choose the link type you want.

Linking Buttons

Buttons work as call-to-action elements.
Drag a Button onto your page, type in the text, then click Link to attach a page, URL, file, or email address.

External Links in Navigation

Your navigation menu is just a list of links. If you want one of your menu items to point to an external website:

  1. Open the Pages tab.

  2. Click + and choose External Page.

  3. Enter the name and the URL.

  4. Select whether it opens in the same tab or a new tab.

  5. Publish when you’re done.
