You can schedule blog posts to automatically publish at a specific date and time. This allows you to prepare content in advance and control when it becomes visible to visitors.
Before scheduling, ensure you know how to create and manage blog posts.
When to Use Scheduling
Scheduling is useful for:
- Preparing announcements or articles ahead of time
- Publishing content at a specific date and time
- Maintaining a consistent posting schedule
How to Schedule a Blog Post
- Open the blog post you are creating or editing
- Click Post Options
- Locate the Publish setting
- Change it from Immediately to Scheduled Time
- Select the desired date and time
- Confirm the schedule
Once scheduled, the Publish button will change to Schedule, and the post will automatically go live at the chosen time.
What Happens After Scheduling
- The post remains hidden until the scheduled date and time
- At the scheduled time, the post will automatically appear on your blog page
- Make sure to save your blog draft before scheduling to avoid losing any changes
Time Zone and Publishing Notes
- The scheduled time follows your account or editor time zone settings
- Your website must remain live for scheduled posts to publish automatically
- If your site is unpublished, scheduled posts will not become visible
- If you recently made structural changes, confirm that your website is published
Before Scheduling
Consider reviewing your post’s metadata to optimize your blog post for search engines before it goes live.
