How to restore your backup on jetpack Print

Restoring a Jetpack Backup requires giving Jetpack secure access to your server first. Here’s the full process:

  1. Go to jetpack.com and log into your account.
  2. Select your site and switch to the Backup section.
  3. Click Enable Restore (or “Set up restore”).
  4. When asked how to connect to your server, choose “I have my server credentials” or “My host is not listed / I don’t know”.
  5. Select FTP/SFTP and fill in:
  • Server hostname or IP
  • Username
  • Password
  • Port (21 for FTP, 22 for SFTP)
Click Test and Save Credentials → Finish.Once the connection is verified, click Backup in the left sidebar. You’ll see a list or timeline of all available backups.Choose the backup date you want and click either Download (to get the files) or Restore (to roll your entire site back to that point).

The restore will run automatically and return your site to the selected state.

If your website is currently offline or inaccessible, Jetpack can still perform a restore as long as it can connect to your server, which means you can recover your site even during downtime.

For a clearer understanding of what data will be restored during this process, it helps to review what Jetpack Backup includes before proceeding.
